Responsible Production

As shellfish production in Scandinavia has ceased, Coldwater has chosen Morocco – a country with strong traditions and expertise in hand-peeled prawns. For decades, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium have had their fine coastal prawns peeled here, building extensive experience and ensuring high quality.

Our factory in Tangier uses fresh spring water from the nearby mountains in both production and brine. It is operated by Coldwater United Seafood Maroc S.A.R.L, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coldwater Denmark, ensuring full responsibility and control. Here, an experienced management team – evenly split between women and men – focuses on quality, flexibility and meeting customer needs.
